24/7 DAD AM&PM

*** 24/7 DAD serves as our main program, being the only mandatory Fatherhood Program curriculum that has to be completed by every Father that joins the FSFINC family. The only exceptions are:

1. By a Directors decision to sign and dismiss the father from the program then substituting and completing an equivalent Fatherhood Program not to exceed the equivalent amount of time to complete.

2. A court order was issued or the Father to attend a particular program curriculum.

3. The father agreed on other terms with the Interviewing Director when registering, that another program curriculum would better suit the needs of that individual. e.g Inside Out Dad, Domestic Violence or Anger Management program.***

Program Description

24/7 Dad® is an evidence-based fatherhood program used by thousands of organizations across the nation to develop pro-fathering knowledge, attitudes, and skills of dads of all races, religions, and demographics. The program is built on the basis that fathers can be nurturers; nurturing is a learned skill for men. Throughout the program, men examine their developmental history, learn the 5 characteristics of a 24/7 Dad®, and other important skills such as working with mom and proper child discipline to help them be the best dads they can be.

24/7 Dad® is available in A.M. (covers basic fathering skills) and P.M. (covers deeper fathering skills and topics) versions. Now in its third edition, 24/7 Dad® has been enhanced based on several independent evaluations of the program, and to meet requests and suggestions made by facilitators in the field.

The father-attendee materials are now provided in Spanish, and reference cards in the Fathering Handbooks bring this program to the next level.

When a father completes either version, he becomes a 24/7 Dad who:

  • Is aware of himself as a man and aware of the significant impact he has in his family.

  • Is a man who takes care of himself, and has a strong spiritual connection with his community, and chooses friends who reinforce his healthy choices.

  • Is very aware of the significant role he plays in the family, and capitalizes on his knowledge of the unique contributions he and his wife (or mother of his children) brings to raising their children.

  • Is a nurturing parent who understands and accepts the importance his parenting skills have in developing the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and creative needs of his children.

  • Works to build and maintain healthy and supportive relationships with his children, wife, family, friends, and community.
